Bottle 1
It was late and I was groggy…
My mates and I spent a long night at Ye Old Barnacle, where we are quite well known. Upon departure I merrily staggered towards me ship… Up the gangplank… And into my bunk.
I woke to the swells of the ocean and the sounds of a very mad Bosun screaming his head off. “Get out of bed you lazy sack of beans! You’re gonna have double watch tonight… and garbage duty for the rest of the week!!!”
Up I jumped, mad as could be. Where was I? Who was this guy? “Sir, for yer information, I am the cap’n… Who are you, you bilge-sucking blaggard?”
The man cuffed me on the head, and yelled, “Boi, you got some gall. Yer a floatie, and I’m the boss. Report to the deck right away or you will be doing more than just garbage duty…” He turned quickly, and stormed out the door.
I winced and glanced out the porthole, and my jaw dropped… Sailing away was The Dirty Curse, my home and ship. Realization hit me broadside… I needed a hard drink. Here I was, stranded on an unknown vessel going who knows where, with who knows who, for who knows how long. I decided…. …. … rum was needed, and quickly.

Yarr, amen, rum heals all of fate’s wounds. I shake to think of how these dire times can be cured, but if anything can do it, it would be the rum. Good luck to you, fellow buccaneer. Yarrrgh.
