New Caledonia - Bottle 6
Bonjour mes amis! Je suis dans New Caledonia, et c’est tres tres beau (belle most possibly….)
Yup french land. It feels like I have just entered europe with the little side streets, some gothic architechture (was that spelled right?), and plenty of absolutly amazing bakeries…. Yumm. Just right now I have a bag filled with the glories of a sausage roll (large) and a Chocolate Croissant. Oh and a jug’o'chocolate milk.
My partners in crime today are Alex P, Shaun and Andrea, all of us crazy, bored and walkers. Which we basically did…. We walked all over the city, shopping, eating, and just having a good time. I hope to get some new piccies up soon due to the sheer awesomeness of this place.
Quick side note, the new student site complete with my layout should be up very soon. You can access the site using the extranet login link at the top right of www.classafloat.com. The username is carlsverre and the password is password. Please do not change either of these details. 
In other news, life on the ship has been very different since we started our short sail portion of the trip. It is feeling more like regular school weeks with extended weekends.
On a flip-side… A few variants of the flu has been going around and we have labeled one unfortunatly common variant the yakpoo. For those less gifted at the art of decifering names… You yak, which is then closely followed by poo. Rinse, and repeat.
Luckly, I didn’t get it. Well, I just got the yak. Whew.
I hate sore throats.
I love pastries.
O! There will be a section of the student site called “The Rogue Wave. It will be in the second update, so look forward to it. Hopefully it will feature some poetry (Yea, thats right, my ONE poem is in there. Its around 12 lines and WILL rock your pants off.) and some artwork. Yaaay! Fun.
Ok well time to go. I will try and update yall latah, but no promises, internet here is very very expensive. I value food above internet. Odd eh?

Glad you didn’t get the full yakpoo, that would be bad. Is a chocolate croissant covered or filled with chocolate, either way sounds good. Mmm I want one. That place sounds fantastic, and cute. Did you notice that you said eh then immediately after said yall? Just thought I’d point that out.

Sounds like New Caledonia is the place for me. Would love to see photos of it. The web site is fabulous. Congrats!! Enjoy yourself. We love watching this voyage. Love you!!!

Yay for chocolate croissants! I’m pretty sure I gained like 5 pounds when I went to Paris in june because I basically lived off of those. And baguettes, of course
. And CARL? Food over INTERNET?? What has gotten into you?? The pirate ways have changed you!

I’m glad he’s getting his priorities straight. Food over everything, pretty much.
So did you ever figure out what happened to Old Caledonia? Was the new one erected over the old one’s decaying bones? Or has the old one been blown off the surface of the earth, only to arise in 5 years unless its terrible curse can be broken?
Or is Old Caledonia some backwater place that doesn’t matter at all?
YOU SEE WHAT KIND OF THINGS RUN THROUGH MY HEAD WHEN YOU DO NOT SOLVE THESE MYSTERIES?

Hey man well that’s great that your having fun, we miss you so much here, the daily bloon needs to change its name to the weekly bloon, or have more posters (cough cough) no man i am just kidding the bloon has some funny stuff though, and me, everything is going well here, we actually went rock climbing, like z oh my god that is a sweet earth. WRONG! Effing kangaroos (i was quoting the end of z world)

Heya Cap’n. Glad to hear you’re enjoying the french lands. Bet you’re having all kinds of great food, I’m jelous. I need to mention something that I forgot to mention last time.
