Today I experienced something that very few people have ever experienced. Well, thats not entirely true as I have no idea how many people have been hit by lightning while on a barkentine… Indeed my friends, today at the above time… the S.V. Concordia had her lightning rod tested while in Singapore harbor. We were hit by a huge bolt of lightning which caused a massive bang and a confused crew. It was one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me…
I can still feel the tingling.

I know the feeling, I got nearly hit sailing two years ago in the southern Carribean, not very comfortable, luckily you guys were tied up to a dock we weren’t. Keep a sharp look out.

In other news, yea we are very lucky. And although we are grounded to the water, it is lucky that were also grounded to the ground.

I’m happy to hear that you recieved a fairly okay experiance with a lightening strike, many golfers can’t say the same thing. Glad you’re still having all kinds of new experiances cap’n. I hope your luck holds out through out everything you do while on the water. Still, you tend to make your own luck, so just keep doing that.

Electrifying experiences you are having. Lucky you don’t have much hair. It would be a-standing up right now. Did everyone look like Einstein afterwards? Amazing story. Stay off that high mast during storms is my advice.

Aw no talking about Carl dying. Hopefully if you do get hit by lightning you will somehow live and end up like Powder (weird guy from the movie who became albino and electric). But for now, just try to avoid it all together.
