It was fate…

August the 10th, 2005 was a very, interesting day. Applying to Class Afloat was the first step in a chain of events that would change my life. After filling out reams of paper, swimming what seemed like miles, medical checkups, telephone interviews, essay writing, transcript forwarding, and obtaining references, I was successful in my quest.

It gives me great pleasure to announce to you that you have been accepted to the Class Afloat programme for the full 2006-2007 academic year, departing August 25, 2006.

Now, a year later, I am about to board the Concordia as a bona fide floatie. This blog will chronicle my travels, under the guise of “The Irate Pirate”, as I circumnavigate the world.
